A survey of UK adults on behalf of UKCloud on their concerns about whether their personal data is protected by companies and public services.
  • Three in four (75%) British adults say they are concerned about whether their personal data is protected by companies and public services.
  • The majority (63%) of British adults say they would be likely to trust secure government networks (not on the internet) to securely store and process personal data.
  • Eight in ten (82%) British adults say they think the Government should seek your permission before storing and processing your personal data with non-UK businesses (bound by non-UK data protection law).

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 2,044 British adults online between 26th and 27th April 2017. Data were weighted by age, gender, socio-economic grade and region to be representative of all GB adults aged 18+.
