ComRes has conducted regular tracking research among MPs on behalf of a leading integrated energy company every year since 2006. Since 2011, the research has also incorporated annual tracking of MSPs. Each year, ComRes surveys 150 MPs and 50 MSPs using online and paper surveys.
By tracking attitudes over several years, the company is able to identify where it stands within the sector. The survey allows the company to understand changes in perceptions in the House and in Holyrood, measuring its reputation compared to other energy suppliers, and evaluating its communications. This enables the company to more effectively manage its reputation and optimise its Parliamentary engagement.
