ComRes worked with NASUWT to help them better understand teachers’ experience of, hopes, and concerns for Brexit. This project explored this topic across a broad range of teachers in Great Britain, as well as uncovering the opinions held by a highly specific teacher audience born in the EU.
Through conducting bespoke quantitative research on sample of 800 British teachers and a focus group of 9 EU-born secondary level teachers, the research informed NASUWT’s engagement strategies by providing robust and in-depth insight on the specific concerns, and priorities thereof, held by teachers regarding Brexit.
ComRes’ report for NASUWT received widespread media coverage, and provided extensive material for further thought leadership and campaigning. The report was prepared in advance of and presented at the NASUWT annual conference.
