A survey of 150 MPs
  • Of the options tested, over a third of MPs (36%) rank bringing long-term empty homes back into use as top priority for making more homes available in the UK
  • Nearly all Labour MPs (96%) support requiring all private landlords in England to be registered as do 50% of Conservatives
  • 86% of MPs agree that Government should place a higher priority on tackling empty homes (Labour 94%, Conservatives 78%)

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 150 Members of Parliament online or by self-completion paper survey between 30th August and 19th September 2018. Data were weighted by party and region to be representative of the House of Commons. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
