A survey of GB adults about attitudes to independent schools
  • Two in five (37%) GB adults say that increased funding for state schools should be the Government’s priority for social mobility.
  • One in ten (12%) say that they would be more likely to vote for a political party that pledged to abolish independent schools, compared to one in five (21%) who say they would be less likely.

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 2,016 GB adults online between 6th and 8th September 2019. Data were weighted to be nationally representative of all GB adults by age, gender, region and social grade. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
