A survey of UK adults, on behalf of ITN, on attitudes towards crime.
  • ‘Poor parenting’ named by 62% of respondents as the top reason for increase in violent crime.
  • More police on the streets (33%) and re-introduction of National Service (23%) would be seen as helping to reduce violent crime.
  • One in three people (30%) are more afraid of violent crime than 12 months ago.

Methodology
ComRes surveyed 2,001 British adults aged 18+ between 4th and 5th  July 2018. Data were weighted to be representative of British adults aged 18+ by age, gender, region and social grade. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
