R3 – Personal Debt Snapshot, Wave 24
A survey of 2,042 British Adults on behalf of R3 on the state of their personal finances.
  • Approaching two in five British adults say that they are worried about their current level of debt (37%).
  • Almost half of British adults who are worried about their current level of debt say they are worried about their credit card debt (48%), in line with April 2018 (49%), with the next highest proportion worried about bank loans (18%), followed by an overdraft (17%).
  • One in five British adults (20%) would find it somewhat difficult, very difficult or impossible to immediately pay an unexpected bill for £20, without assistance from an external source.

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 2042 GB adults online between 17th and 18th October 2018. Data were weighted to be demographically representative of all GB adults.
