Whitehouse Consultancy Services Survey
Survey of 2,008 British adults on the perceived size of the services sector, on behalf of the Whitehouse Consultancy.

The British public significantly underestimates the contribution of the service sector to the British economy GDP. Three in five Britons (61%) estimate the service sector to make up less than 70% of the country’s GDP. Three in ten (30%) say they don’t know.

Just six percent say the service sector contributes 70%-79%.

On average, Britons estimate that services contribute 46% to the economy.

ComRes interviewed 2,008 GB adults online between 15th and 17th January 2016. Data were weighted to be demographically representative of all GB adults. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
